Ignatova Yelena Rufovna was born on December 23, 1955 in Aktobe. In 1981 she graduated from the Philological Faculty of the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov, and in 1989 she finished her Postgraduate studies. In 1989 Ms. Ignatova defended her Thesis for a Candidate’s Degree “Y. V. Bondarev’s novels of seventies – first half of eighties (problems of genre) at the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Diploma of Candidate of Science FL # 012807). In 1993 she got the Associate Professor Degree (DC #0000545). From 1985 she has been working at the faculty of the Pre-university Education of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. Ms. Ignatova taught Russian for foreign citizens at British Embassy, at the Representative Office of the European Commission in Almaty, at different foreign organizations and companies: Exson-Mobil, KCell, and Petro Kazakhstan. Yelena has working experience with students from the United States of America, Europe, Latin America, Turkey, South-East Asia. In 1990-1991 studying year she was on business trip in China, Urumchi, where she taught Russian at the High Party School. The total length of her work with foreign students is more than 30 years. Ms. Ignatova taught practical Russian (A1, A2, B1, B2, C levels), scientific style of speaking for humanitarian and economic specialties, BL (Business Language), MML (Mass Media Language), Advanced Russian, Speaking Adaptation Russian Course. Ms. Ignatova is an author of more than 80 scientific and methodological articles, devoted to teaching of Russian as a foreign language.
